Don't go to Eagle Automotive. They will try to rip you off. I did comparison shopping from another shop. Here are the differences: 1. Eagle wanted to charge 30% more for the same work. 2. The work was for a Master Brake Cylinder and Power steering work, and they wanted to charge about $250 extra to flush out the systems. Tell me why is this necessary when the systems will be drained anyway in doing the work. 3. They gave estimates on work that did not need to be done including: a. Transmission service - this was done on the vehicle 2 year prior and b. Flushing coolant - they said it was dirty - it had been flushed out 1 year prior and c. They said the oil was low and was leaking. I checked the oil a few days afterwards, and it was not low, plus there isn't any oil leaking on the ground. Overall they wanted to charge us $4700, as opposed to the other shop which wanted to charge under $2000. I will never come back to Eagle. No way.
Hi Mr Taylor. Thank you for giving us the feedback on your experience with my store. I looked into your concerns and I want you to know that our goal is to make sure that everyone that comes to our store has complete satisfaction. Upon investigating your estimate, I feel that the work that was suggested to you and the prices are definitely in line with industry standards. As with any industry, there are differing opinions and different prices depending on the quality of work and the approach to a particular service or product. For example, just because we remove a power steering component doesn't mean that the system has been has been cleaned of all the debris from the old component that went bad. So a shop that is not as committed to doing a thorough job may tell you that it was unnecessary to flush the system because it was going to be drained already. This may make you feel better about saving money but in the long run the approach is not good for you or your vehicle in terms of money and reliability. We want to serve you with the best approach that finds a balance in terms of cost, quality, and industry standards. Please feel free to contact me personally at 720 - 439 - 4180 so that I can explain to you the reasons why we offer the services that we do at the prices that we quote. Again, thank you for your feedback. I truly appreciate it. Brian Bates owner of Eagle Automotive Service.
