I will tell you my story, and then you can decide for yourself if the 1-star is merited. I received an email with a coupon for a $9.95 oil change. Who wouldn't jump at that? So I took my truck in for the oil change knowing there were a number of maintenance issues that it needs (it has almost 200k miles). Got the oil changed and they of course did a complete inspection on my vehicle, of which I am very appreciative. When they called, the person I spoke with was very friendly and informative describing to me all the issues they found and what things were most important to fix soon and things that could wait; I was very appreciative of this as well. I asked him to print out a quote of all the recommended work that needed to be done so I could see what may fit in my budget now and look at things me and a buddy could do. When I went to pick up my truck, the gentleman I was working with, who I am pretty sure was the same I dealt with on the phone, was a again friendly and helpful. While he was checking me out and I was looking at the list, another man, perhaps a manager, looked at the list and told me there was a lot of work that needed to be done and asked me if I do the work myself or why it was not done. I told him that I just have not had it done and that a buddy may be able to help me with some of it. Upon hearing that, the man informed me that this was not the shop for me. I guess since I did not want to spend $2,800 (more than my truck is worth) right then and there without even having a chance to look at the quote, that my business is no longer welcome there. How stupid of me to want to see if there were some things I could do to lower the cost, not sure what I was thinking! Hopefully someone from Eagle is reading this because here is the funny part. Once I had a chance to look at the quote and talk to my buddy, I decided I would need a professional to do the high priority work. So, I called their competitor and got a quote (just under $1,000) that was about the same as Eagle's for the work I wanted done and will have them do it instead. Since my business is not welcome there, I will spend my $1,000 now and any future work somewhere else. There are way too many options out there, not sure why anybody would go here only to be told not to come back.
